"I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years, never missed a payment. State Farm is trying to pay me way below wholesale to replace my car that was totaled out by the other driver. I provided documentation to contrast their offer vs actual real world numbers and they could only say that they have an outside company that makes those decisions. State Farm recently (2023) took out the formal third party appraisal clause after losing a class action lawsuit for these very practices, leaving me with no alternative than to file a formal consumer grievance with the Alabama Department of Insurance to request a regulatory review of the valuation methodology on my claim. Beware!!!! like with most insurance companies, State Farm is trying to pay WAY less than ACV."
